I lost my voice (hence no Youtube video☹️), and I've been on a strict "no lifting heavy things" protocol, prescribed by my very own Dr. Hooseman ? I normally never getting sick, however considering the back to back preps I recently did, my immune system was definitely more susceptible this time around.? But like I mentioned on my @Bodybuildingcom's BodySpace page, however, this cold did something more than keep me on bed rest for a week: it served to remind me of the importance rest and recovery is in our fitness pursuits. Sometimes the greatest things we can do to our bodies is to give it time off the intensity, the regime, the 'work hard play hard' protocol. I've suppressed my body's need of rest before, pushing and forcing it to train when it clearly wasn't ready. This only led to a delayed recovery and compromised performance. After these past errs and experiencing their consequences, I am diligently practicing self-love and care, values I believe long-term results stem from.
