??❌ I had snapped about how I use maple syrup instead of honey and the number of inquiries that followed were endless so here ya go! Honey is one of the most over-promoted, overpriced products being sold and labeled as 'healthy'. While honey is good enough in itself by the time it gets to you it's been processed, heated and filtered and rid of the naturally occurring bacteria and any vitamins and minerals it once possessed (the good stuff). It's kinda sorta just about as empty as table sugar (sorry to burst your bubble). Now RAW and unfiltered honey DOES contain trace vitamins and minerals but it's still only 2% of the product. I'm not saying to never have it again, I'm just saying there's a better option but if you love it, try to have it post-workout ??. On the other hand, the sugars in maple syrup and cane juice are balanced and contain a ? ton of vitamins and minerals. So many people count macros and forget about the importance of MICROnutrients! Quality of food is extremely important and gets overlooked way too often! There WERE 3 grades of maple syrup. I say 'were' because one of my followers informed me all maple syrup is now labeled as grade A which explains why I've been needing to order Grade B off Amazon ? Grade A is the first run and is mildly sweet and has fewer minerals. Grade B is the second run with more minerals and go figure is actually less expensive. Grade C is the third run with the most minerals and a strong taste which may be a bit much for some people.
