This vacation rental sits in parking spaces in #LongIslandCity, Queens. It has no bathroom. And it has a bit of that old car smell. But as far as @Airbnb listings go, it has its perks. The views of #Manhattan from Jonathan Powley's cab are fantastic, and at $39 a night ($49 on Fridays and Saturdays), visitors to #NewYorkCity would be hard pressed to find a cheaper place to sleep. Jonathan (@campercabnyc) said he draws on his undergraduate degree in hotel and restaurant management to create a comfortable, immersive environment for guests. He replaced the back seats of the 2002 @ホンダ Odyssey minivan with a full-size mattress adorned with black and yellow sheets. He offers guests yellow slippers, embossed with images of taxis. And for each reservation, Jonathan outfits a yellow tray with yellow mugs, yellow roses and bananas — “because they’re yellow,” he said. While on #nytassignment in #NYC, @saranaomiphoto photographed Jonathan sitting atop his rental. #?
