Defence is not merely an occupation in Singapore, it's also a duty and shared experience.
This is why I was honoured to meet three former Chiefs of Defence, (from left) LG (Ret) Ng Jui Ping, BG (Ret) Kirpa Ram Vij and LG (Ret) Winston Choo, along with other veterans at the OCS Commissioning Parade and SAFTI 50th anniversary celebration last Sunday. The pioneers built the SAF from scratch, and under each successive Chief, our forces have grown in capability and strength.
