This is Efrida, a Malawian woman with her newborn baby. Infant mortality is high in sub-Saharan Africa, so many mothers wait to name their babies for a month or more. Sue Desmond-Hellmann, CEO of the Gates Foundation, works to eliminate the need for that delay.
