This mural spans 50 buildings and can only be fully seen from a nearby mountain. It was created by eL Seed, an artist and @TEDFellow, in a part of Cairo known as the Garbage City. The calligraphy features a quote by Saint Athanasius of Alexandria: “Anyone who wants to see the sunlight clearly needs to wipe his eyes first.” eL Seed chose it to break the stereotypes against the people who live there.
