When Aziz Abu Sarah’s brother died of internal injuries after he was beaten in jail, Sarah channeled his anger and grief into activism. But he soon found that anger was destructive. As he learned to forgive, he saw that he was more able to drive effective social change. "Forgiveness is not about condoning violence or renouncing justice," Sarah says.
