For most fans of soccer (or as many would call it, football) around the globe, Barcelona is synonymous with @FCバルセロナ. But in Ecuador, Barcelona is more commonly associated with a club founded in #Guayaquil, the country’s largest city. How the immensely popular Barcelona Sporting Club performs on the field resonates in Ecuador much in the same way that the achievements and occasional failures of @リオネル・メッシ and his teammates touch all of Spain. The clubs have played each other 3 times, though not since 1988. Each team’s record includes a victory and a draw.
