For the past 2 years I have followed my @getfitandthick workout program. I workout 4-5 days per week for 1 hour each session. I lift weights, circuit style train, do weekly plyometric workouts and sprints. I haven't had a stimulant based supplement in over 5 years and am against the use of any chemical based fat burners, diet pills, or pre workouts. I eat according to my macros (P: 140g • F: 65g • C: 301g) 80% of the time and eat according to my desires and wants during the other 20%. I promote meeting your macros with micronutrient dense foods. All the of the vitamins and minerals that you need are around you in the form of vegetables, fruits, seeds nuts and grains. My "multivitamins" come in perishable and refrigerated forms which I purchase weekly in my produce department. I won't take a multivitamin that comes in plastic and has a shelf life of 2 years because nutrients are meant to be consumed and utilized readily by the human body. I practice moderation-if I want a cookie, I have 1 cookie. It's about making changes that you can maintain throughout your life and not about quick changes you make to meet a goal and then fall off. I don't starve or deprive myself. This process is about bettering myself and nurturing my body. I went plant based 4 months ago but recently started incorporating wild caught fish into my diet 1-2x per week. Other than that, I have maintained my plant based changes which I feel have made me a better person inside and out. I feel more contentious of the environment and what the meat industry has done to our earth and is currently doing to our bodies. I believe that everyone is different. Our bio individually is unique to each of us which makes our diet and fitness requirements different as well. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all mentality where health and fitness are concerned. You need to listen your body and do what feels right for you. I know myself- my capabilities, my flaws, my strengths and my greatest weaknesses. I'm comfortable with who I am because I treat my body like a temple and know that I am a constant work in progress. Although a natural journey comes with a slower transformation, it is a more lasting one.?
