@melissafarlow |The Marisposa Grove of giant sequoias during a recent winter in Yosemite National Park. President Lincoln signed legislation passed by Congress to preserve their natural beauty. Amazingly, 150 years later there are 500 trees in the grove. They are among the oldest and most rare in the world but they are feeling the impact of man with roads and trails that damage their systems.
