Watched the exciting football 5-a-side match between Singapore and Malaysia last night.

Football 5-a-side is similar to football but all the players (except the goalkeeper) are visually handicapped. During the game, they wear eyeshades to ensure fairness. The ball makes a rattling noise, so that the players can “hear” the ball.

If you’ve tried running around and kicking a football blindfolded, you’ll realise how hard this sport is. Watching the players dribble the ball was even more fascinating.

Our team was only formed a few months ago, and the Malaysians were far stronger. In fact they had helped to train our team in Malaysia. Congratulations to the Malaysian team for their 3-0 win! For the Singapore team, well played and press on for your next match! – LHL
