If I want to be a contradiction, then I'll go ahead and be it; after all, that's what we all are when it comes down to it. Sometimes we're confident and strong while other times we're vulnerable and weak. Sometimes we feel sexy and crave attention while other times, we are self conscious and wish we could be invisible. When it comes to certain things in life we can be self sufficient and independent, but when we're hurt or sick, we revert back to being a dependent child.
I'm open about who I am and the way I'm feeling at the moment because it's real, and it's me.
Just because I'm feeling sexy one day and intellectual the next doesn't mean I'm fake, it means I'm human. I abhor the fact that people still think women can't be smart, sexual, and powerful at the same time. But hey, if it makes me a contradiction then I'm proud to be it because one thing I can say is that I don't have to put on a front or have to worry about what I'm going to post or say to adhere to a certain perception of me.
Women on social media typically pick one of their sides to show the world, whether it be their sexy, intellectual, fitness knowledge, artistic capabilities etc.; but just because they only choose to show you a select side doesn't mean the others don't exist.
Cheers to the women who contradict the one dimensional stereotype that society places on us. This one's for you.
