To wander through the dimly lit streets of Old #Havana after dark is to enter a world of shadows, silhouettes and half-lit faces. Russell Monk, a Canadian photographer of British descent, has visited #Cuba a number of times over the last 25 years. “The country at night has always intrigued me, and when I returned most recently, I decided to try and capture what my eye was seeing,” he wrote. “Most important, I wanted to photograph the feeling of mystery that the night offered there.” We’ll share more of Russell’s photos from Havana this weekend. #nytweekender
