This hand pump was provided to women in Cambodia who lived so far from water, they spent half of each day walking to get it. The addition of a water pump enables them to spend more time farming and cultivating resources for their families. This particular pump serves 100 families, so the women who live close use it at night to grant those further away access during the day- just another example of women’s incredibly collaborative nature in areas of limited resources. CWS has helped to provide countless resources such as this pump to many small Cambodian communities.
