Photograph by @alex_ekins - 2012. • A year ago today a massive ice avalanche swept through the Khumbu Ice Fall on Everest. Ang Kaji Sherpa was one of the men who lost his life while working on making someone's dream of climbing the highest mountain a reality. Ang Kaji was with our team in in 2012 and was the first person to make the summit that year. Ang Kaji is survived by his wife and five kids. Ang Kaji was an instructor at the @khumbuclimbingcenter and was always interested in making the work of high altitude climbers safer. On the day of the avalanche he was shepherding a group of first timers through the maze of ice towers.
