In Amalfi, Italy there is a posse of polo kayakers. I had no idea polo kayaking existed till these four guys practiced passing and paddle blocking next to the pier. Humans, having covered the bases of food, shelter and clothing, (in most parts of the world) are focusing on other things. Polo kayaking is no different than croquet, bowling, climbing, contract bridge, stamp collecting, birdwatching, unicycling or the thousand other frivolous pursuits humans seek out. It is a source of happiness. Smile, life's short.
