In 1966, Magnum's Danny Lyon moved back to New York after spending years photographing the Civil Rights Movement in the American south and motorcycle gangs in the midwest -- two projects that birthed iconic bodies of work. Back in New York where things weren't always quite as exciting, Lyon's mother told him, "If you’re bored, just talk to someone on the subway.” He proceeded to create a series of poignant pictures that are now on display at the MTA's Atlantic Av-Barclays Center station, one of the city's busiest. For Lyon, the old saying was true that year -- "Mama knows best." @MTAArtsDesign
