The Magnum Gallery exhibition in Paris, @alessandra_sanguinetti’s Some Say Ice, based on her fifth book of the same name, has been extended until February 10, 2024 🧊

Some Say Ice presents a mysterious juxtaposition between mortality and timelessness. Austere, intimate portraits and group shots feature alongside images of animals, living and dead, and ghostly houses and interiors, functioning as scattered clues to a tale that is never fully explained.

The work takes its title from Robert Frost’s poem, Fire and Ice, in which the poet meditates on whether the world will end in the fire of desire or the iciness of hate. Sanguinetti’s frozen and unyielding landscapes are a foreboding reminder of the inevitable.

On December 12 at 4 PM CET, Paris Gallery Director Samantha McCoy will give an Instagram LIVE walkthrough tour of the show.
