To be successful, we need to be able to examine and approach things in a multitude of ways. In school, we were always trained to expect that there is one answer to every problem, and it's usually in the back of the book. In reality, there are many different ways to solve problems and get to an end result. I think this is why people who rely solely on schooling to gain their knowledge are often unable to apply that which they've learned to real life situations. Sometimes, we need to throw ourselves into life. Get our feet wet and our hands dirty. We must learn to adopt divergent thinking if we truly want to succeed and accomplish things that are out of the norm. If you want to do things that have never been done before or that YOU have never done before, how can you expect that the same actions and ways of thinking will ever get you there?
