It's #BaoBaoBday! We celebrated panda cub Bao Bao's 1st birthday this morning with a Zhuazhou. It is tradition in China to host a Zhuazhou on a baby's first birthday. There were 3 posters in her yard. Ambassador Cui of the People's Republic of China helped lay honey treats under the posters.The first poster she chose to play with had peaches painted on it. In China peaches are a symbol of longevity. That means Bao Bao will enjoy a long life as a conservation ambassador. She also played with her two posters representing good health and fertility.
