Here's today's post from @tonibologni - Chronicle 10 of 18 - Big Bang Social Media: OMG, the holy grail of future has been found. At the end of year 2007, something big, really big happened. Now infamous JEP 604 MILK saw an explosion of sales at the end of 2007 out of no where. Milk, which I wouldn't say was the hottest item, out of no where started to sell like chocolate chip cookies. I mean, we couldn't keep this item in stock because the demand was so high. And Why? was the question at NYX. Honestly, at first, we were all scratching our heads, Then one day we figured it out. Youtube!! Social Media!! ding ding ding ding... the bell off and it was the beginning of the entire beginning. Back in 2007, the word SM was not frequented in people's conversation but we at NYX cracked the code and started to engage in this new age media early on. But most importantly, for us, JEP 604Milk had revolutionized the eye shadow business and it was the bases of the whole eyeshadow primer business. See back in 2007, there wasn't many brands that was selling eye shadow primer. As matter of fact, I do not know of a brand that was selling shadow primers, period! But the creative and clever Youtubers figured out, using JEP604 Milk under your shadows, made the shadows last longer and colors more intense. Milk has the perfect color and the consistency as a shadow primer because it is opaque white and the texture is slight tacky that sets dry after. Lot's of happy things are created out of accidents like the invention of Coca Cola or the Post-its. JEP604 Milk as eye-shadow primer was definitely a very happy accident.
