And thank you for all the lovely messages I've read. It means so much honestly - especially after another night of broken sleep with Ada. ✨ This Morning we discussed the fact that the army are to overturn the beard ban - this will have my gran rattled because she bloomin' hates beards. She's been at my brother to shave his since he grew it out. 🤪 We also talked about the fact that AI can turn your dead loved ones into a hologram - this is like Black Mirror turned real life. I really do see the need to cling onto our loved ones and there's people I'd love to talk to again, but I think it's a really slippery slope and I don't think it would allow people to grieve properly? And on the more serious topics: Keir Starmer praising Margaret Thatcher. WHY KEIR WHY? I understand that with our right wing media politicians have to tow the line to win elections. I understand why he needs to get the support of middle of red wall votes disillusioned with the Tories BUT WHY BRING UP SUCH A DIVISIVE CHARACTER? He could take his pick of things to talk about - NHS waiting times, cuts to public services, party gate, immigration. There ar endless ways he could speak to people. Personally I'd love to see some authenticity and no bullsh*t in opposition. Someone who rips through the lies and corruption of the Conservatives who we desperately need out. Someone who doesn't stoke division and culture wars. Come on Keir, we don't need to keep talking about Margaret Thatcher. Especially not from Labour. Tell us how you're going to make our lives better! And finally we talked about Megan and Harry and Omid Scobie's book naming the royals. What do you think? Pr stunt? A mix up?
