The left photo is on my first big day hike I did in Yosemite, the day that I believe I rediscovered & fell in love with hiking as an adult. I was wearing my trusty leather Micheal Kors backpack. I had zero gear and zero idea what I was doing, but I found a spark of joy in the outdoors, it was the start of the journey to where I am now 🥰 Swipe right for a little summary: 2️⃣ 2000. I spent my childhood hiking and cold water swimming across the UK. 3️⃣ 2010-2016. There was a 6 year gap where I forgot about the outdoors and focused on studying and building my business. 4️⃣ 2017. I went on that fateful hike in Yosemite and reconnected with how bloody glorious nature is. 5️⃣ 2018. I experienced my first mountain focused holiday to Switzerland and fell a little in love with it. I summited my first mountain in Slovenia later that summer. I still didn’t have boots or a proper backpack. 6️⃣ 2019. The year I threw myself into hiking. I explored the mountains in Austria, Slovenia, Montenegro & Slovakia and became addicted! 7️⃣ Late 2019. We went to Patagonia & I *finally* got some proper outdoor gear to protect me against the elements out there. 8️⃣ 2021. I faced my fears and did my first ever via ferrata and rappel in Mexico. I realised I was capable of so much more than I ever thought. 9️⃣ 2022. I hosted my first group hiking trips to Jordan, Slovenia, Montenegro and the Amalfi Coast. It brought me SO much joy and fulfilment seeing others connect with the outdoors. 🔟 2023. Hiking is my passion, it has become a huge part of my life and career. I aim to continue exploring the mountains on foot and challenging myself in new ways through via ferrata and climbing. There’s always more to learn, I can’t wait to see what comes next 🥰 Everyone starts as a beginner, so don’t be afraid to throw yourself into something new ♥️」10月9日 19時12分
