Am I losing my mind or did she just say hi? 🤣🤍

What do you think? Happy coincidence or do I have a very switched on and determined 10 week old?

Every night before I bath Ada I talk to her and try to make her smile. The last two nights she's been really mimicking my mouth movements and I could just tell she was desperately trying to communicate.

And well tonight: this happened. What do you think? I can't stop watching it back! 🥹❤️🤣

I also want to say, and maybe this is a whole separate post, but I just love her little birth mark above her lip.

But do you know the really sad thing? A few people have said to me: "hopefully it'll fade or disappear."

And a photographer even airbrushed it off her and I had to request her to put it back. She said to me, "oh I'm so sorry, most people want me to remove them".

And I just thought, how sad is that? She's not even 3 months old and already society is trying to make her insecure. Trying to tell her she has a flaw she should cover up.

I said to the photographer, what do I tell my daughter when she sees the photos and asks why I decided to remove the thing that makes her HER?

I wish we saw beauty in uniqueness. How terribly dull will it be when we all hate our appearance so much we morphe into the same person.

I hope her little birth mark never fades, because it makes her Ada. Her little beauty mark.

And whether it does or it doesn't, I hope she sees beauty in it. And I hope society learns to stop telling little girls they are anything less than perfect. ❤️🙏
