Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned the palace after the death of his beloved Persian wife Mumtaz Mahal, and it was constructed in Agra, India, between 1632 and 1648. On the five nights each month before, during, and after the full moon, you can visit the Taj Mahal at night, when the marbles shine brightly in the moonlight.
