As a fellow Japanese-American from LA, seeing his dream become a reality is truly inspirational. I remember going to these games every year it was held in LA, and I rooted for then-high school stars from Japan such as Masahiro Tanaka, who'd come to the US years later as a professional Yankees pitcher. I was thrilled to get his autograph back then, making it a super rare ball to have now.
