It's the longest time I've been away from our kiddo since he was born. I have a lot of thoughts on everything surrounding that, but mostly I'm just so excited I had thoughts again. Eight years in and I'm still blown away how fully consuming motherhood is. And, if he's anything like me, it'll probably be that way for many decades to come (sorry and thanks and sorry again mom and dad).
