YOU GUYS!! Yesterday I did my first ever BJJ tournament and WON!
The experience was absolutely insane.
The week leading up to this tournament I was nervous. I knew I didn’t want to walk into the mat with that feeling. For days I practiced visualization. I would see myself at the top of the podium, I imagined what it would feel like when the ref would raise my arm at the end of the match. I did this as much as I could.
I knew my coach - literally the BEST coach @paris_superhero had prepared me for any situation that could happen. The more I practiced visualization and positive inner thoughts the calmer I become.

Being in a jujitsu match is incredibly overwhelming. The adrenaline rush is like nothing I have ever felt. This match didn’t just teach me more about jujitsu, it taught be how to stay calm in stressful situations and to just think and BREATHE. I can’t wait for my next tournament and all I have to learn.
