While visiting the @peregrinefund I had the opportunity to meet Ramona and Chipoko, two Taita falcons. Like other birds of prey, this species is a skilled hunter, spending much of their time perched in trees surveilling their surroundings for signs of prey. They have a tendency to pursue other, smaller birds, capturing the prey in mid-flight and carrying it back to the perch to be eaten.
