This adorable female desert hedgehog can be found throughout much of northern Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. To avoid the desert heat, these critters will spend most of the day sleeping, often near rocks and cliffs that help to conceal them from birds of prey. Once the sun goes down, the hedgehogs will go out on the prowl hunting for insects and other prey species. Video taken @epaa_shj.
