Numbering approximately 3,000 strong they can run an astonishing 70 kilometres (43 miles) per hour and some wander over 5,000 kilometres (3,100 miles) in a given year. You can even take a journey of your own with Inuvialuit-owned and operated Tundra North Tours (@tundranorthtours) to witness the herd in action.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Qamanirjuaq Caribou Herd - Nunavut⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Just off the shores of Ennadai Lake in Nunavut you’ll find the fly-in Arctic Haven Wilderness Lodge (@weberarctic) where you can witness the Qamanirjuaq caribou herd undertake their annual fall migration.
