We moved here together from Scotland so we are lucky and grateful to have the eyes of a tourist in the place we call home. ⁠⠀ I believe that there are infinite versions of yourself, but the ones sometimes at odds are what you thought you should be doing and what life throws at you. This is something I really struggled with. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I have always worked hard and put my career first (okay maybe second to my dog), and when I imagined myself in Canada it was in Vancouver - climbing that career ladder. ⁠⠀ Then 2020 happened, and I was stuck. Fortunately, I found work on a ranch in the Rockies and it all happened from there! I made a life for myself here and learned to prioritise getting outside and appreciating everything that nature has to offer. ⁠⠀ I may not be climbing that career ladder and living the city life like I thought, but I'm happier than ever. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I enjoy living in Alberta, because for me and Akela every day is an adventure. I love that within hours there are mountains, prairies, ranches and even a desert. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Follow @crabbtacular and @canada_ke to explore our backyard with us.
