It can be the warm embrace in a quaint village or as fleeting as a conversation in a local store. But perhaps the most special of these moments for me has been in Arctic Bay, Nunavut. Where local guides became good friends, where I serendipitously photographed my first wedding and got to meet with the honorable elder, Qapik in her summer cabin for a chat – reminding me so much of my time with my own grandma.
