Green catbird males are pros at the art of seduction. To attract a mate, they will display colorful leaves, flowers, or fruits in their beaks. Once a female draws near, the male will initiate a playful game, chasing her from branch to branch while serenading her with a raspy clicking sound. If the female turns down his advances, the male will retreat and regain his composure before trying again, but should the female accept, the pair become mated for life.
