She earned the right to give this presentation through a reward system they do in her class. You earn tickets throughout the year for being a good student and then every Friday, you are allowed to use your tickets for things like fidget prizes, stickers, an extra snack, etc. The biggest ticket item is getting up in front of everyone and teaching your own 15 minute class about anything you want. Harlow saved up her tickets all year to earn it! She decided she wanted to teach the class how to throw a party. I helped her create a powerpoint but she picked all the visuals, fonts, and told me what to write. She gave examples of party themes, party supplies, party activities and cakes. She even included class participation slides. At the end of her lesson, all the kids got to draw a picture of what they would want their next party to look like. The fact that all these kids have had Zoom birthday parties for the past year just makes her presentation that much more meaningful. Her teacher said that Harlow had an amazing presence and really captured everyone’s attention. “I am definitely going to consult with her when we plan our next class party!” I’ve said it before and I will say it again— I am so so so proud of her.」2月12日 1時56分
