トレーシー・キスさんのインスタグラム写真 - (トレーシー・キスInstagram)「I was recently approached to give an interview about my life as a single parent having had multiple surgeries to explain my reasons for living “differently” to others. I’m always happy to address taboos and spread love and positivity. Some of the comments I’ve seen have been unnecessarily judgemental so I thought I’d address them here. I have raised my two children alone from a young age and do not rely on or need a man to provide for us - I work hard and treat them before I treat myself. I am often asked if I am their sister rather than mother because we are always laughing, joking, playing and having fun - when was the last time you climbed a tree with your mum? My children respect me but are not afraid of me like others may be of their parents; they tell me EVERYTHING, feel entirely at ease and are encouraged to be 100% themselves rather than never feeling good enough or becoming overwhelmed by impossible expectations. I nurture, love and support them in their dreams and hold health and education in the highest of regards. I do not have surgery to make myself “happy” or in an attempt to be “pretty” because I am already a happy soul and adore the skin that I am in. I see surgery as a way to enhance what is already there - others may dye their hair, wear makeup, designer clothes, have Botox/fillers etc. each to their own, you do you so long as you are not hurting others. I love being a role model to my children - showing them you can live how YOU choose and for what makes YOU truly happy as an individual. My well spoken, kind hearted and highly educated daughter is the absolute opposite of me appearance wise and this fills me with so much pride because she ISN’T copying my style or identity, she is her OWN woman making her OWN choices instead of trying to walk in my shadow. How many stressy parents force their children to achieve what they never could in life? My son is a maths whizz, fascinated by technology, designs planes and is able to rebuild a wristwatch.
