Following the success of the first two ‘Une bibliothèque des avant-gardes - Paul Destribats’ sales, Christie's Paris' Book Department are pleased to announce the third instalment of the sale.⠀

Featured highlights include creations by the famous Catalan painter, Joan Miró (B. 1893 - 1983).⠀
.⠀
Inspired by a collection by Paul Éluard, Miró's set of woodcuts printed on China paper are a true milestone of book illustration.⠀
.⠀
Also included in the sale are Miró's illustrations for Breton's texts, published by Pierre Matisse in 1959. The copy includes four original engravings signed by Miró, the complete autograph manuscript of the poem and a set of corrected proofs.⠀

The sale will be held in collaboration with the expert booksellers Claude Oterelo and Jean-Baptiste de Proyart.⠀
