DAVID BOWIE ULTIMATE RECORD COLLECTION PART 3

“At the centre of it all...”

Editor John Robinson has been in touch with an exclusive first look at the third and final instalment in Uncut’s Ultimate Record Collection (URC) series, David Bowie: 1990-2016.

As with the first two instalments of URC, this volume is a pretty thorough look at the period, perfect for those trying to build their collections retrospectively. Lavishly illustrated throughout, URC covers all the major album and single releases, though don't expect to find major rarities such as the Heathen MiniDisc we posted about yesterday.

There are also new interviews with Bowie’s fellow musicians and others who contributed to the final chapter of his career, by Rob Hughes, Michael Bonner, John Robinson and Mark Beaumont.

We’ll leave you with an edited excerpt from John’s introduction:

Now, as we move to the last decades of Bowie’s lifetime, we find that while some features of the personnel remain the same – Mike Garson, one of our most generous interviewees, is often there; Eno returns, as does Tony Visconti, who joins us for some new recollections on Bowie’s later work – Bowie continued to thirst after fresh experience and new directions in his music. We’re particularly privileged to hear from Reeves Gabrels, who can be credited for reminding Bowie that above all, his fans want to hear him do exactly what he wants.
