It must be love! – No matter how much time that I spend in nature it never ceases to amaze me how little I know, and how little I’ve seen! I’d photographed mountain hares for 15 years before I even saw this behaviour for the first time and I can’t tell you how lucky I was when it happened for that first time right in front of me. It left me speechless, awestruck, and more than a little bit excited as I scrolled back through the whole series. Here, for the first time, I’m showing a 10 frame sequence from the brief encounter so that you can see the whole, beautiful interaction unfold. Moments like this remind me constantly of our role in protecting the lives of precious creatures such as these, so that future generations can see and experience them in more than just photographs. Wherever possible I believe that we should all strive to #makeapositivechoice and to be aware of what we can each do individually to ensure that the beautiful lives and souls of other living beings are respected and valued with the same ferocity as we do our own lives, and those of our families. #willsveganstore @willsveganstore @onekindscotland #mountainhare
