Photo by @tommy.heinrich // A Historic moment. K2 (to the right) -the second highest mountain in the world- looms above all others during Nanga Parbat’s frozen sunset. Today January 16th 2021, it was successfully climbed during the winter season by ten strong Sherpa who as part of different teams, joined forces to achieve such extreme feat. It was the last of the worlds’ 8000 meter mountains that remained unclimbed during the coldest season. It took 41 years since the “Ice Warriors” Krzysztof Wielicki and Leszek Cichy from Poland, first stood on Mount Everest during the winter time.
