Going backside at a place like Maverick’s is — obviously — not easy. Duh…surfing there in general isn’t. But going backside adds another element of difficulty to an already tricky wave. That’s not to say there aren’t a handful of chargers who don’t huck it over the ledge like the best of ’em, though…right foot forward be damed.
