Without a doubt the most challenging and painful year for so many, and personally it emotionally broke me at times. And while it was heartbreaking, it was also awakening, transformative and built resilience within. I learnt so much about true compassion and empathy. I’ve never been more aware how lucky I am to have this man by my side, always loving me for who I am, growing and supporting one another through our respective healing journeys. We both have realized how unbelievably blessed we are to call Whadjuk Noongar Boodja our home and no longer question where home for us is. This year brought into laser sharp focus how blessed I am, how privileged I am, and how grateful I am to have the loving support of my family, a home, plentiful food, safety and a job ...even if it required some pivoting. I’ve found a more grounded, humble part of myself that blooms brighter with the slow and simple life, focusing on cultivating my connections to nature, community, friends and family. Moving into 2021 I will continue to focus on where I can give back to this world that gives me so much. I truly see how WE ARE NATURE and just as we are learning to love and heal ourselves, so too we will love and heal our planet. I’ve been reminded of my naturopathic training....prevention is better than cure. Not only for our own health but the health of our planet. I’ve been reminded of what matters most in life and I’m moving forward with gratitude for life, love and family at the centre of my being. I wish you all a very happy new year!
