As the moon rose through the jungle,
I watched the leopards dance,
And the healers howl,
The visions of the future began pouring down the sky,
Which once hung from the far away stars,
And the leaves rustled,
Creating music to last the last few nights,
Of a year that came
To shake us up,
And then the fire rose,
Through the middle ground,
Where everyone was called,
To stand in a circle,
And I held the hand of a deer,
Who has seen the angels running across the stream,
Glowing waterfalls with many colours they wore,
And I looked across,
To see an elephant singing the songs of fallen stars,
That came rushing from the other side of the universe,
On alien ships that once landed,
To leave behind the humans,
With a part of knowledge that belonged to the ancient races,
But now that we have forgotten the faces,
Of whom we once called our own,
So we stood under the rising moon,
To hear the stories of our ancestors,
From the creatures who never forgot their names.

And there in between all our games,
I saw the leopards dance,
And the healers howl.
