She leaves her cottage and walks down the trail,
Leaving the village behind with a Manav Kaul book in her hand,
For there are morning when she loves to think of herself
As Rooh,
With these questions bubbling in her mind,
Which she asks the mountains around,
And smilingly she sits down,
Knowing that as always the answers won’t come,
She’ll only receive a silence in return,
A silence that sometimes scares her,
And other times comforts her,
This time she chose the comfort of a sunny morning,
After a stormy night.

The mountains around are filled with snow,
Waiting to melt as the first kiss of sunlight,
Just the way she moves in her bed through those mountain nights,
Waiting for the kisses to melt her,
In the arms of one who’s yet to be found,
And many such thoughts accompany her
On morning adventures,
While she continues humming the song she once found a man playing in a cafe in Manali,
And since then it became her favourite song,
Those few lines that she remembers now,
She hums them like a chant which brings more life to her soul
Always trying to add a new verse to it,
Trying to make more meaning out of what already has all the meaning for her,
Just like this life of hers,
Which has everything,
And yet
She continue missing something she doesn’t know of yet.
