Journals, notebooks, blank pages. The sacred keepers of thoughts and musings, innovations, ideas, rants, brambles, drawings, colors and insatiable explorations, the sky’s the limit. One could say they’re part of the inner circle, privy to the stories that have only been shared with the most trusted and dearest of friends and kin, perhaps even beholding a few jottings that have never been uttered to any soul. Life gets boisterous and loud, and there is much to do, contribute towards, steward, engage in & be a part of, and yet the need for ongoing quiet sanctuary is vital. Often it is the pen and page that usher me into that space, the palpable guardians between the linear and beyond. It’s no wonder I have such an affinity for them. They are companions in the resting place, the quiet in the crags, the sweet respite and panacea in between the moments and days. They have never been just mere tools, but rather faithful friends that weather along the ever changing climate and terrain.
