I’ve taken all the actions that are in my control and that I can. Like voting, wearing a mask and getting a flu shot. Sit tight means, “to sit patiently and not take any future action.” I feel like I’m sitting tight in every aspect of my life right now. Sit tight until the election. Sit tight until we see how the pandemic plays out this fall and winter. Sit tight until house closing day. Sit tight and don’t make changes to my retirement fund. Sit tight and no travel just yet. Sit tight before starting any new projects until I move. And the list goes on. I’m not one to be sitting quietly for any length of time. I flee from a lack of stimulation like it’s a tornado that will swallow me whole. I sense this sitting still and letting my body catch up with my very restless mind will bring more balance into my life and that’s a good thing. So if I have to sit tight I might as well sit pretty and do it in nature while I can.
