It was as though time stood still. It was softly raining and still so beautifully warm. The sun was setting and the whole sky and city lit up in an array of pastel colours. I felt like I was somewhere remote in nature and yet the city was right here. Singapore really is a city of harmonious contrasts that excite the senses. It’s something I noticed right away, even though my last stay was so short, and it left me wanting to explore so much more. I still have a really long list of places I want to visit – the ArtScience Museum, Singapore Botanic Gardens and HarbourFront. I’m dreaming of riding the observation wheel (Singapore Flyer), taking a night time/ an evening river cruise and exploring more of Gardens by the Bay. I also want to discover street art and explore the cultural neighbourhoods like Little India, Chinatown, Joo Chiat/Katong (home of the Peranakans) and shop in Haji Lane in Kampong Gelam. As you can see, my list is long and this is only a small part of it - there is just so much to see and do!
