On the northern side the square is bordered by beautiful 16th- and 17th-century guild houses and reconstructions of such old houses. The houses that are authentic have undergone extensive restorations. Other houses are 19th- and 20th-century reconstructions. The square is the ideal start for a trip through the city of Antwerp. #Belgium
