I watched the sun kiss a flower today,
As the sky took over the colours of warmth,
And we felt the winds of love
Flowing across the mountains,
When the trees swayed,
And the birds sang in unison,
While the mist filled up the valley,
As a mother was busy cooking dinner,
In a cottage down the woods,
Where a stream emerged,
And the kids jumped across the boulders,
Playing last of their day’s games.

And I watched the army of night,
Slowly crawling above Himalayas,
Stars ready to take over the sky,
Along with the dreams that hung upon the broken ones,
But for a moment,
Before the day would’ve passed by,
Sun jumped over the meadows,
To place one last kiss,
While the flower
Danced gracefully,
Knowing the kiss would be over soon,
Within seconds,
And yet it’d last in the memories of time,
Forever.

As I watched the sun,
Kiss a flower today.
