Photo by @emilypolar Nubra Valley rests in the region of Jammu and Kashmir south of the border of Pakistan. The common way to access this valley is to travel over Khardung La pass from Leh, but a friend and I decided to hike, making our way over the course of a few days. While walking through the region, I loved looking at maps to see where I was spatially in relation to the land surrounding me just out of sight. It may have been the closest I’ve ever been to the Karakoram Range, and that feels pretty cool.
